Seemingly they're looking forward to extend updates, but still, Android versions have barely changed since Android 12 so there's that. Android version updates don't make sense as long as they're Google Play protected.

I wasn't aware of this phone so I checked, seems adequate but isn't this discontinued too? I would go for a manufacturer that has a clear upgrade path and isn't like 3 years old
