The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max almost feels like an Ultra at this point. The Pro Max model this year blurs the lines between the Pro models and the Ultra, especially given the sizeable camera upgrade and the price. Because let's be honest here, the Ultra models from most brands lately are camera-centric phones, while the Pro models try to strike a balance. With its triple 200MP camera setup, the Find X10 Pro Max is no less Ultra than the rest. However, at €1,799, the pricing is steep even if you get 512GB of storage by default.
In reality, the X10 Pro Max doesn't replace the Find X9 Ultra. It has its own Pro Max competitors to worry about, as the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, the vivo X500 Pro Max and the Honor Magic9 Pro Max are all just around the corner.
So what else can you get for around the same price? Well, there are plenty of Ultras to go around - the Oppo Find X9 Ultra, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and even the Galaxy S26 Ultra. You can also look into the vivo X300 Ultra if you don't want to wait for the X500 Ultra. In fact, the X300 Ultra is the one contender that matches the Find X10 Pro Max's price. However, despite its non-Ultra badge, the X10 Pro Max beats the vivo in our battery tests and successfully rivals it in the camera department. The vivo, on the other hand, has nicer speakers and faster charging.

Dead-set on an Oppo? Then the Find X9 Ultra might interest you at a lower price of around €1,500. You get faster charging, two telephoto cameras, a slightly more powerful chipset and better speakers. The two are about on par camera-wise with only a few exceptions.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra • Google Pixel 11 Pro XL • Oppo Find X9 Pro
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra are both Ultras on a budget that should definitely be considered. The Samsung gives you a more familiar experience with longer software support, faster charging, better speakers and a more feature-rich display. Still, only the Xiaomi's Ultra gives the X10 Pro Max a run for its money when it comes to cameras. It's hard to tell which one takes better photos as it mostly boils down to processing preferences. Some may like the Xiaomi while others will find the Oppo more likable. Either way, the Xiaomi and the Samsung are considerably cheaper - the 17 Ultra is a little over €1,000, while the S26 Ultra is a little below €1,000.
Last but not least, last year's Find X9 Pro gets a lot of the way at a lower price, but you will miss out on the, quite frankly, huge camera and battery life upgrades. The latter is true only for non-European users.
An Ultra in all but name. The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max makes a compelling case for being one of the most accomplished flagships around, even overshadowing the company's current Ultra model in several respects. It brings together an excellent display, a powerful chipset and exceptional battery life that tops our battery-life chart. Its triple 200MP camera system is equally impressive, delivering class-leading low-light video recording and ultrawide camera performance that outshines the competition in both photos and videos, day and night.
Better still, Oppo has managed to package all that photographic firepower into a refined, understated design that looks every bit as premium as the hardware underneath.
The biggest hurdle is undoubtedly the price. The phone is launching in Europe with rather steep pricing, even compared to some of the most advanced Ultra flagships currently available. It's a tough asking price, no matter how impressive the hardware. The Find X10 Pro Max is certainly not the most sensible purchase from a value perspective.
Then there are a couple of other shortcomings worth mentioning. Charging is slower than we've come to expect from Oppo's high-end phones, and the speakers don't quite live up to the otherwise excellent multimedia experience. Neither is likely to be a deal-breaker for most buyers, but they are worth keeping in mind at this price point.
Still, these shortcomings do little to diminish what Oppo has achieved here. The Find X10 Pro Max isn't merely a well-rounded flagship; it genuinely raises the bar in several important areas, particularly camera performance and battery endurance. For those willing to pay the premium, it delivers an exceptional flagship experience with remarkably few compromises. And that makes it a worthy recipient of our Editors' Choice award.
