Oppo's Find X10 series this year launches in three variants - Find X10 E, Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max. Yes, there's no Pro this year, or at least for now, so the Find X10 Pro Max is the spiritual successor to the Find X9 Pro that launched last year. At least when it comes to size and overall hardware.
The Find X10 Pro Max now rocks the more powerful Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset but retains the 6.78-inch display diagonal from the Find X9 Pro. But the OLED panel isn't the same. The Pro Max bumps up the refresh rate to 144Hz and can also get brighter.
The crown jewel is the camera setup. The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is the first smartphone with a triple 200MP camera setup. The 200MP sensor isn’t the same for the main, telephoto and ultrawide shooters. While the telephoto and ultrawide use the well-known Samsung ISOCELL HP5 sensor, the main one boasts a new ISOCELL HPC snapper with improved capabilities. The selfie also gets an upgrade in the form of a shorter focal length - 18mm - which means wider selfies than before.
When it comes to the battery, markets outside of the EU get a beefier 8,000 mAh battery, while Europe settles for a 7,150 mAh unit due to cell capacity restrictions during air transport. Unfortunately, it's a step down from last year's model, which offered a 7,500 mAh unit for all markets. At least users outside of Europe are getting an upgrade.
That doesn't mean there won't be any battery gains, as the new Dimensity 9600 Pro SoC and display might be more energy-efficient. It's also important to note that we received the global 8,000 mAh version of the phone.
Charging-wise, nothing changed. The device still supports 80W fast wired charging over the proprietary SuperVOOC standard and 50W over the AirVOOC wireless charging standard.
In addition to the new hardware, the Find X10 Pro Max debuts the new ColorOS 17 based on Android 17 with a handful of new features and optimizations. Let's check them out.
The handset comes in a standard retail box containing the usual user manuals, the USB-A to USB-C cable for data transfer and charging. There's also a matching color soft-touch silicone case.
In Europe, the device ships without a charger, but since we got the global unit, the retail box contained the appropriate 80W SuperVOOC charger.
Although not part of the standard retail package, Oppo also offers a Hasselblad Teleconverter Kit. We got one with our review unit, and it adds 3.28x optical zoom to the 3x telephoto camera, helping you achieve true 10x optical zoom. The teleconverter also comes with a case, a mounting mechanism that allows you to attach the teleconverter to the case itself and a lanyard for extra safety when carrying it around.
Oppo is also offering a selection of first-party magnetic cases called Quicksand Shimmer Magnetic Case. We got the Titanium (light purple) and White colors to try them out. They enable the use of magnetic charging accessories like Oppo's own 22.5W 5,000mAh UltraSlim Magnetic Power Bank (pictured below). The phone does have magnets built inside but they are nowhere near strong as they need to be so it's best to use a magnetic case if you are after using any magnetic accessories.
Don't get the point about battery capacity on planes in Europe. There is no restriction on battery size in phones. So many different reasons are given for this limitation it's impossible to know the truth. The EU/UK version of Poco F9 Ultra...
Pre-order is still possible up to 28th with some price cut -200€ pre-order -100€ coupon + free teleconverter (or other stuff) And -250€ bonus if you exchange an Oppo phone
Popular =/= Best Phone. Some people can't wrap their head around this. Instead, they take pleasure in some company making more profits. What these people don't realize is that these same companies literally don't care about thei...
