Indian handset maker Lava to make its UK debut soon with the Agni 4N

Indian handset maker Lava was expected to enter the UK smartphone market in Q1 2026. That didn't happen, but we now know Lava will make its UK debut soon, as it has teased a new smartphone for the UK market.

The smartphone in question is the Lava Agni 4N, which hasn't been launched yet in India either. The brand hasn't divulged any specs or features of the Agni 4N; however, the teaser it posted on X suggests its camera island on the rear will look identical to the Agni 4's, which was introduced in India last November.

The teaser image also says that the Agni 4N "does what SAM can't." Well, judging by Lava UK's previous X posts, SAM here is likely a reference to Samsung.

The Indian handset maker took multiple digs at Samsung for launching smartphones that look identical to the previous models, pre-loaded apps, plastic build, slow processing, and slow charging speeds. Even the UK branch's X bio says, "Escape the SAMe cycle." It will be interesting to see how Lava addresses all of this with the Agni 4N.

Lava has been taking digs at Samsung since last week

While we await more details about the Agni 4N and the UK debut from Lava, you can read our announcement coverage of the Agni 4 here. Its key specs include the Dimensity 8350 SoC, a 120Hz AMOLED screen, a 50MP primary camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 66W wired charging support.
