Earlier this month, a report out of South Korea claimed that Samsung's Intelligent Eyewear would launch in November, citing "a Samsung official". Today, a new report from the same country tells us when you'll actually be able to buy the glasses: in mid-December. That's not the whole story, though, as they're said to only go on sale in South Korea and the US at first, with Europe, China, and Japan left out of the initial release.
Apparently, Samsung wants to see how the Korean and US markets react before expanding to more regions, which is pretty much what it did with its Galaxy XR headset. That launched in the same two countries last October and only made it to the UK in July this year. Pricing for the glasses still hasn't been decided, according to the report.
In case you need a refresher, the Intelligent Eyewear glasses run Android XR with Gemini, have no display, but do come with a camera, microphones, and speakers. They can do real-time translation and give you directions by voice, and take photos of documents or meetings and automatically organize them in the Notes app on your Galaxy phone. At the helm sits the Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset and Samsung promises up to 9 hours of use on a single charge.
The frames are designed in collaboration with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, and Samsung has shown four styles so far, two at Google I/O in May and two at its Galaxy Unpacked event. If you want to know what they're like in person, check out our eyes-on report.

Apple's VR/AR failed with the Vision Pro. It took Samsung once again to inject some innovation into the market.
