The Redmi Note 13 5G is your typical mid-range smartphone with flat panels and a flat frame. The front is a Gorilla Glass 5 sheet, the back is made of multi-layered plastic, and the frame is also plastic with a matte finish. The phone is IP54-rated for dust and splash resistance. That is an update over IP53 - now the splash resistance covers 360-degree pressurized spraying.
The Redmi Note 13 is available in Graphite Black, Arctic White and Ocean Teal (ours). There is also a regional-exclusive Prism Gold version. The Black and the Teal versions are of uniform colors with matte backs, while the Arctic White model has some subtle frost texture on its back, also of matte nature.
The Redmi Note 13 5G is the same size as the 4G mode, but 14 grams lighter for some reason. It features a rectangular camera housing unlike the 4G model.
The 6.67-inch AMOLED panel has nicely thin bezels and a small punch-hole for the 16MP selfie camera. The phone has an under-display ambient light sensor below its earpiece. There is no stereo speaker system on this Note, and the earpiece has no other purpose.
There is no under-display fingerprint scanner here either. Instead, the sensor is mounted on the Power/Lock key on the right side. It is as fast and reliable as you would expect of that kind.
The back has a huge camera housing with two large sticking out plastic rings for the primary and ultrawide cameras. The depth sensor and the LED flash are flush with this beautiful glossy island on the matte back.
The Redmi Note 13 5G is a well-built smartphone, quite pleasant on the touch and with a very good grip. We found it easy to use and operate and had no problems fitting it in our pockets.

Overall, another great execution from Xiaomi.
