The Poco lineup is extending a notch further up, with an Ultra now joining its ranks alongside the Pro. The Poco F7 Ultra brings more cameras and a top-of-the-line chipset, among other things, elevating it to a 'flagship killer' status more so than previous efforts from the brand.
One of the major developments is the addition of a telephoto camera - for the first time on a Poco-branded phone (if you don't count a 5MP 'macro' unit on the F2 Pro in 2020, which you shouldn't). It's one of Xiaomi's nicer close-focusing teles too, meaning it's great for subjects both far, and near. The ultrawide gets a bit of an upgrade, too, compared to the F6 Pro, while the main camera remains unchanged.
The other pillar of the F7 Ultra's upmarket appeal is the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Yes, some Poco series do tap into high-end SoCs, but typically they only go as high as last year's flagship Snapdragon. Well, this time it's the current flagship Snapdragon, just like some other Ultras.
There's also a decently sized battery inside the Ultra (not quite as large as on the F7 Pro, but better than the F6 Pro's), the charging rating remains the highest that Xiaomis have on offer, and there's also wireless charging support - another thing you don't normally expect on a Poco. The IP68 rating is also on the list of most welcome, but somewhat rare features to be seen on a Poco. The otherwise thoroughly excellent 6.67-inch QHD OLED display isn't really news - the F6 Pro had one of these too. Well, quite the package then.
A quick note is due here about the F7 Ultra's relationships with other models in the extended family. If you're following along closely, you may have noticed that it's almost identical to the Redmi K80 Pro sold exclusively in China - the Redmi has an even larger 6,000mAh battery and different colorways, but that's about it.

The F7 Ultra arrived in the usual black and yellow cardboard box we've been getting from Poco. You can expect to see a basic graphite-colored protective case in the package though don't necessarily count on getting a charging adapter.
Our review unit's bundle does include a 120W charger and a USB-A-to-C cable to go with it. But if you're shopping in the EU, there's every chance you'll only receive the cable. Pros and cons to this whole EU thing.
Just bought one in the philippines. it is blazing fast and crisp crystal clear images and videos. Got the 16gb 512variant
Give it some more time to learn your usage. Just run the battery normally and without any battery saving stuff. Mine is lasting appropriately for the beefy chipset.
