The Oppo Find N6 is your typical large foldable, it's just thinner and tougher than the most. The corners are rounded, and the camera island is large and round, which makes the Find N6 look like every other foldable except the Galaxy Z Fold7 (sharp corners, minimalistic camera arrangement).
The Find N6 has a tough nanocrystal front glass to shield the cover screen, surrounded by aviation-grade aluminum frame with flat sides. The back has a glass panel, too, on top of an aluminum chassis.
Now, to the most important bit that makes the Find N6 really interesting. Oppo advertises the Find N6 for its zero-feel crease technology. The crease isn't gone - that's not currently possible. But it is smaller than on any other foldable. In fact, it's so small that it almost feels like there's no crease when you run your finger over the inner screen's surface.
The zero-crease was possible thanks to the second-generation Titanium Flexion design of the hinge. It is now 11% wider and has a gentler teardrop bend when folding the screen to reduce wear-and-tear through the years. Oppo laser-scans the hinge area to detect height differences on a microscopic level. It then adds layers of photopolymer with a 3D liquid printer. This reduces surface variation to around 0.05 mm (down from 0.2mm), which is thinner than a human hair.
But that's not all - Oppo also touts the foldable screen as being tougher and longer-lasting than the industry standard. It has a fold life of roughly 1 million folds. And there ay will be no increase in the depth of the crease for the first 600,000 of those. Here is hoping, because we've all seen those creases getting more pronounced on pretty much all foldables so far.
The enhanced durability comes from a larger waterdrop fold radius, which decreases the stress at the point of maximum fold of the inner display. And there is a new 50% thicker protective layer. Oppo calls it an Auto-Smoothing Flex Glass, and it's supposed to resist deformation after prolonged use by "springing back up" after folding.
Long story short - the new hinge and the new screen layer allow for a zero-crease feel and a much longer lifespan of the whole thing.
Finally, Oppo has secured IP56, IP58, and IP59 dust and water ingress protection ratings for the Find N6. The phone is now dust proof, splash, water and pressurized water jets resistant. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is IP48 rated only.
Of course, the Find N6 is not the first dust-proof foldable, as the Magic V5 has the same ratings, while the new Magic V6 is IP68/IP69 ratings offer complete dust tightness.
The Oppo Find N6 is all matte outside the screens. It is available in Blossom Orange (our review unit) and Stellar Titanium. There is also an exclusive Pearl Black for the Chinese market. We can't say we are fans of this particular orange hue, but the Stellar Titanium colorway (pictured below) looks great.

Let's take a close look at this Find N6 now.
The front houses the 6.62-inch OLED with super-thin bezels and a reasonably small perforation for the 20MP selfie camera. It comes with a protective folio on top of it that you can decide whether to keep or peel off.
Above the screen is the earpiece that doubles as a stereo speaker, together with its secondary sound outlet on the frame.
The back has the large camera island that's prominently sticking out of the back, surrounded by a metal ring. It is a home to the primary, telephoto, and the ultrawide cameras, as well as a microphone, color spectrum sensor, and the fourth is a 2MP monochrome assistant to help in various scenarios.
The LED flash is also sticking out of the back in a separate, smaller island, also surrounded by a metal ring.
The 8.21-inch foldable screen is a real joy when opened. It turns the Find N6 into a fully-fledged tablet, as expected. It has almost no bezel, but then comes the plastic enclosure surrounding it, creating a rather huge but necessary one.
The display has a small perforation around the top right corner for the second 20MP selfie camera.
There is no visible or feelable crease, and we surely hope this remains like that for as long as Oppo has promised.
The foldable screen top layer feels thick, for sure. It is also quite a smudge magnet, but luckily, it's easy to clean with one or two wipes with a cotton cloth. This screen protector should not be peeled off!
Finally, let's look around the sides.
There is nothing on the left, while the right side has Snap, volume, and power/lock keys. You can configure the Snap key's behavior from Settings.
The power/lock button incorporates the fingerprint scanner, always-on and blazing fast.
The top has one of the stereo speakers (a.k.a. the hybrid earpiece), the IR blaster, and one microphone.
The bottom houses three microphones, the other speaker, the USB-C port, and the dual-SIM tray.
The Find N6 measures 159.9 x 145.6 x 4.2 mm and weighs 225g, about the same size and weight as the Find N5 and 3mm taller than the Magic V6.
The Find N6 is a large smartphone when fully opened, a mini tablet if you will. It is balanced enough and provides enough grip to handle it mostly care-free.
The closed Find N6 is a thick and heavy phone, but we wouldn't call it bulky. It's also quite easy to use and operate even with one hand. It doesn't provide the best grip as all sides are slippery, but the Find N6 is still usable without a case.
