After initially launching in Korea and the US, Samsung's Galaxy XR headset is now finally available in the UK as well, from Samsung’s online store. It's been up for pre-order over there since mid-June.
You can buy one for a recommended retail price of £1,699. For a limited time (that isn't actually specified in the official press release), buying it will also get you an "Explorer Pack" which Samsung says is worth £665.
This contains 12 months of Google AI Pro, YouTube Premium, Google Play Pass, Calm Premium, and Project Pulsar by Adobe, as well as NFL PRO ERA and the Asteroid immersive experience.
The Galaxy XR has up to 2.5 hours of battery life. It's powered by the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chipset, and boasts 4K Micro-OLED screens. The Galaxy XR Travel Case and Galaxy XR Controllers are priced at £249 each, but you can get them for 30% off until September 30.
You can also get 10% off the headset itself when you buy it with any Galaxy smartphone until August 4, and save 10% on any Galaxy Watch or Buds when you buy them together with the Galaxy XR until September 30.
