The ZTE nubia Z20 is coming on August 8 and it's shaping to be an exciting package. The brand’s president Ni Fei revealed the latest details about the upcoming phone at the Global Mobile Internet Conference summit.
The Z20 will come with a flexible display. Mind you that doesn't mean that the phone will be flexible - the first image of the phone also suggests it's not. However the flexible screen means the actual panel will be curved rather than just the glass on top allowing for much narrower bezels.
Another highlight of the upcoming device will be its ability to record 8K video which will make it the second phone in the company’s lineup after the Red Magic 3. Ni Fei mentioned that mobile phones are constantly being used as production tools by video creators and that nubia is aiming to bring professional-grade video quality to its users.
We already saw some sample shots from the device as well as its alleged 20x zoom capabilities so it looks like nubia is gearing up to offer a potent camera solution on its upcoming phone.
In addition, the Z20 will come out alongside a new VR headset but details are scarce as to what it will bring. The nubia Z20 is shaping up to be a device to look forward to but we’ll have to wait for more details in the days leading up to August 8.
Curved screen is expensive, flat screen is better and durable than curved screen too.
It is not upscaled but it is limited to 15fps. Nubia did this in red Magic 3 which has better cooling than your standard flagships.
Upscaled from 4K. It will look awful. CPU is not able to provide 8K. Nor even 4K90. Nor the sensor. Try to turn a 8MP photo into a 32MP one. So you can see how bad it is.
