Xiaomi Smart wearables Rumors

The Xiaomi Watch S1 was announced at the end of 2021 alongside the Xiaomi 12 series. Now a sporty Active version of the watch has leaked, renders of the global version of the 12-series phones tagged along.

The Xiaomi Watch S1 Active changes the bezel to a sort of hexagonal design. Also, the two button on the side are now lower and with beveled sides. There is a raised section between them too, all of this to minimize the chance of accidental presses by a button snagging on your cuff.

Naturally, the leather bands are gone, giving way to (changeable) silicone ones. The buttons are labeled “Home” and “Sport”, two more labels (“Active” and “Outdoors”) are on the other side of the watch.

The original S1 watch features a stainless steel frame, sapphire crystal display and 5 ATM water resistance. It’s not yet clear how the Xiaomi Watch S1 Active will build on that to offer more durability.

Chances are that the Active will launch at the same event that announces the Xiaomi 12 series are going global. Here are some renders of the global units:

Not much to see, of course, the Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X are already official. Notice that there is a 5G label next to the Xiaomi one, everything else seems to be the same. We also notice the absence of the green leatherette option, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it will remain exclusive to China (but it does suggest it).

Yesterday, a second leak confirmed the European pricing of the Xiaomi 12 and series – the vanilla model will cost €900, the 12 Pro will be €1,100, the 12X will be a cheaper alternative at €600 to €700. The global availability of the Xiaomi 12 series is expected to be announced on March 15, though the company hasn't officially confirmed that date.

why there is no 42mm version both in S1 and S1 active? 46mm is quite bulky. besides, even 2 months old S1 haven't hit the global market so far.

I don't think 12 series will sell well with such prices. The market is too saturated with great phones for low prices, the only good thing is the smaller form factor that overall doesn't appeal to a lot of people. I am interested in 12X, bu...

That is a Watch color 2. So my guess is xiaomi is using the color 2 and rebranding it as S1 active.
