Since June 2015 till today this phone works and usable for normal tasks like calling browsing, however it tends to heat on moderate to heavy tasks. Battery quality and life was excellent till date I had no necessity to change it ( phone was off for 2 years with dead battery and even then it still works fine without any need to replace battery ). Overall to say it’s an excellent device from Xiaomi

A 2014 smartphone running all basic tasks well today,a true legendary budget king with longer software version support officially from MIUI V5 to MIUI 9 which is hard to see in budget smartphone segment.

This phone runs OK for basic tasks. The problems I face using it in 2023 are physical buttons falling out on their own, main speaker sometimes work, battery weakens and some of the favourite apps won't work. That's all. I'm using this phone to type this comment:)

This phone is still usable in 2023, its stayed extremely durable and capable for a 2014 phone as is still a daily driver for me
There are android 10 & 11 roms available for it on some Telegram groups, but they have a bit of ram management problems and the phone will get laggy if you open too many heavy apps and never clear up the memory
But for something of this age it's still a great phone, wouldn't recommend buying one but if you have one, flash android 11 on it and take it for a new go
