DN, 16 May 2025 Hey everyone! I'm planning to buy a new phone and have narrowed it down to these four o... moreI also use an iPhone 11 Pro Max, which was the Apple's - if not the world's - flagship phone, which price was 'thousand' times than this, and yet this cheap Redmi get less heat, not to say 'overheat' than the iPhone, for about my similar use pattern
DN, 16 May 2025 Hey everyone! I'm planning to buy a new phone and have narrowed it down to these four o... moreredmi note 13 has the best screen out of the 4, and performance should be acceptable.

Support is like only on China or something? Xiaomi is worldwide.

Hey everyone! I'm planning to buy a new phone and have narrowed it down to these four o... moreGo for redmi note 13
No lagging or heating with decent photos
Be careful updating hyperos, otg doesn't work anymore or at least is very limited

DN, 16 May 2025 Hey everyone! I'm planning to buy a new phone and have narrowed it down to these four o... moreThe Realme is nice, but IPS vs AMOLED - that's an easy win. Amoled is just better - Realme phones do have some quality IPS displays but there is just no substitute for a good amoled especially if you like watching a lot of shows and movies. Samsung A16 will have better performance but at the cost of a headphone jack AND stereo speakers. Add to that the notch display WITH A CHIN - it's just too ugly and cheap looking leave that one alone. This leaves you with the Note 13 and Note 14. Get the Note 14 - it only lacks the ultrawide camera which is irrelevant based on your camera usage, and has a bit more bezel on the display but still looks a whole lot better than the Realme and the Samsung because the bezels are even. It retains everything else that is good about the Note 13 while giving you a much better processor (actually the same processor as the A16 4g model) and that 5500mah battery. I have a Note 13 - it doesn't lag per-se but it does stutter from time to time - so a better processor is most definitely welcome. Heating isn't really an issue with my Note 13, so I wouldn't expect it too much on the Note 14 either.

Hey everyone! I'm planning to buy a new phone and have narrowed it down to these four o... moreHello DN, Im using redmi note 13 its alright but, i wish i saved up more to buy note 14, note 14 is better and captures photos in great detail like that of an iPhone i recommend you buy the note 14.
my gf bought the note 14 and its very nice especially when playing codm
Extreme budget phone, as expected from this price range:-
Very slow and slugish.
If you are a medium level user then dont for it.
DN, 16 May 2025 Hey everyone! I'm planning to buy a new phone and have narrowed it down to these four o... moreSave yourself, go for Galaxy A16. It may only have a notch instead of a punch hole and the bezel at the bottom maybe bigger but the animations are smoother and the overall experience is just better. The SuperAMOLED is noticeably better too, despite this one being brighter.
DN, 16 May 2025 Hey everyone! I'm planning to buy a new phone and have narrowed it down to these four o... moreGo for Redmi note 13 ..I guarantee you no heating whatsoever because I am using it right now.💯
DN, 16 May 2025 Hey everyone! I'm planning to buy a new phone and have narrowed it down to these four o... moreDefinitely the realme 12
Hey everyone! I'm planning to buy a new phone and have narrowed it down to these four options (all 4G basic variants)
Redmi Note 13
Redmi Note 14
Realme 12
Samsung Galaxy A16
Here’s how I typically use my phone:
Not a gamer, and not into photography just need a decent camera to clearly capture documents and notes for work.
Heavy media user , especially on weekends I often binge-watch shows/movies for 8–10 hours with.
Regularly listen to music, use social media (Instagram, Twitter, etc.), and chat a lot.
I absolutely hate laggy performance and over heating
I want a smooth and responsive phone.
Priorities: Good display, long battery life, and no heating issues even with long screen time.
I’ve heard Redmi phones sometimes face heating issues — is that true for these models, especially the Note 13 and 14?
If you’ve used or know about the performance of any of these phones, please share your experience. Which one would you recommend based on my needs?
A bad phone, and Xiaomi is getting worse.
What about the bad wide-angle camera and the even worse front camera? It would have been better if you hadn't added them.
Stop fooling people.
Its price is high for its specifications.
Also, the names of mobile phones are stupid and long these days.
This phone has mostly the advantages when it comes to hardware within its price range yet it manages to perform lesser in regular usage compared to its competition. It doesn't even have the nicest animations and transitions yet it jitters at times. The inefficiency of the software, of HyperOS in general, is really palpable. Phone relies too much on the hardware that the efficiency of the OS is an afterthought.
MDKBM, 19 Sep 2024have network issue when using 2 sims cards . randomly no service . sometimes with one sim and ... moreYes I have the same issue. Do you experience autofocus issue also?
This is the worst smartphone that I had. Even this is a midrange phone, the performance was crap all aspects and even start lagging after opening shopee or facebook. Sometimes it makes black screen and have a very cheap camera quality. I do not recommend this go buy infinix phone instead and avoid xiaomi redmi series. I have realme 5 and the performace is the same.
On paper this phone looks like very good value for the price but when i use it for two months it looks it's been intentionally limited to force the customers to buy the 5g and pro variants...im very disappointed
The note 10 from 4 years ago can play and record 4k video normally but this one can't play 4k and doesn't even have 1080 60fps
The camera despite having a 108 sensor but it feels like its from 10 years ago
No video pro mode
The os filled with bloatware apps that keeps working even after restricting it
The optimized charging feature does not work at all which means your phone can go crazy hot when using the supplied charger especially in hot days
All this issues can be fixed easily by the company
Updated to 2.0.10.0 VNGMIXM
Maybe just me but phone, based on regular use, seems to be smoother. Still no unlock animation though. The home screen simply opens like a beta release.
