i like it, its a good all rounder for a lower midrange/budget phone. Well, the phones EIS kinda sucks on low light based on my experience. It takes grainy pics at low light. Performance is okay. (not for gaming) i tried honkai star rail on this thing and its not.. the best. (30 fps on lowest) screen is fairly good. The 1800 nits claim is true, on extremely sunny environments. and yeah, good phone. Im not glazing or like sugarcoating this phone anyways its purely good for me.
Unfortunately Xiaomi is trying to push us to the 5g versions by cutting off some features like 4k recording and playback it's looks like its time shift from this brand

I still have MIU14, I'm afraid to update to HYPEROS 1 or 2, someone who has it please tell me if the battery consumption problem continues
I have been using it for 2 months and updated to Hyperos 2. it's pretty good, but the problem is all of a sudden, I noticed that the back cover is bulging a little bit, I didn't drop it nor am a heavy user. I don't use while charging nor, I don't know why it bloats suddenly, very disappointing.
Is it good for an average gaming performance
I think that maybe with hyperOS 3 the battery issue will be resolved... I don't know but I won't update until I see the advantages
A review of my personal opinion, I come from the Redmi Note 12 4G 4/128GB, for reasons I bought the 13 4G 8/256GB.
The device is a copy and paste of the note 12 and 11, after that I did not update the hyperOS due to the bad reviews of energy consumption, the camera is good normal, the battery charges well and is suitable for gaming, MLBB and free fire as examples. That's why the price in my country was inflated by 250d, I was still able to get it for 200d, it's still inflated. Now the 14 4g is out, the same, inflated price and little difference with the 13 4g
I don't regret it but I realize that there are more options at similar or lower prices
Does this cell phone have NFC? because on the page it says yes but I can't find it in settings. I have the 4g version
why cant i play videos round 1440x2560? i have to download other apps to even run 2k videos.. it's really frustrating because my older phone Redmi Note 8 Pro can run 2k+ vids, its an utter downgrade, not to mention the selfie camera as well
DO NOT UPGRADE TO HYPER OS 1!! Stay with MIUI 14 i made this mistake and ruin the phone. Thisi shitty system Hyper OS Xiaomi shoud put in their shitty asses!!!!
I've been using this phone for a little bit and, it's pretty good!
Obviously, some pros and cons that I'm going to list:
- Pros: Very good screen, cool bezels, very fast fingerprint scanner, fast good charging, good photos, good sound quality, doesn't heat a lot while playing (even heavy games like Fortnite)
- Cons: Battery drain a little bit too fast, lack of some personalization, some gps problems, camera at night isn't that good.
I'm coming from a Honor x6s, and even this Redmi having some cons, I'm still very happy with it.
This might be a bit long but it will be detailed. This is my experience of the Redmi Note 13 4G. My phone background prior to this was a Redmi 9T, a J7 Duo and a Umidigi Z Pro, among the smartest.
This phone's pros include a technically better camera than all of them, a better screen, a better processor and the largest screen (depending on who you are this may not be an advantage). The cons include that versus it's predecessors it's a worse point and shoot device, it needs more skill to get right (currently using GCam by LMC version 8.4 along with the stock app), it's limited to 1080p video, it's NFC seems to be limited to Google Pay only, and it's battery is noticeably less dense and general efficiency lower than that of the 9T.
To summarize then, this is definitely an upgrade from a lesser phone, but downgrading will be noticeable. Otherwise a great experience overall. 1080p OLED at 120Hz with capable hardware is a nice combination at this price. I hope expectantly for what is to come in the budget space with Si/Ca batteries, as they did with LiPo on my 9T...
As an aside, if you see a some comments more forgiving of its faults, keep in mind that the budget space is wider in many countries than those in well developed countries, meaning a mostly trouble free experience will more likely be forgiven, especially if coming from super low end hardware...
