The recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset is finally available on a smartphone in China – the Redmi Note 12R is the first device to launch with the latest midrange chip. We already knew most of its key specs as the device was listed on the China Mobile database last week.
Apart from the shiny new chipset and some minor camera differences, Redmi Note 12R shares most of its key specs and design with the recently announced Redmi 12. There’s a 6.79-inch IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch hole cutout for the 5MP front-facing camera. The back houses a 50MP main cam (f/1.8) alongside a 2MP macro module.

Not exactly, in fact macro lenses are the ones that are barely useful. The ultrawide camera can not only serve as that, it can serve its own purpose too.
