Got this phone for 2 months shy of 4 years. Recently installed an official port of HyperOS v2. Ram management is pretty much the same since coming from MIUI 12.5. The upside is that I have the option to extend the ram by up to 4gb more. I haven't tested any games yet (mostly because my games are older versions, some targeting Android 6 at least.), honestly I'm growing tired of mobile gaming anyway. This HyperOS is based on Android 15, the downside is that there's no classic notification center, only the MIUI style. I'm not complaining tho, this material you style is friggin awesome in aosp styled apps! Throughout my time with this phone, I've mostly left it alone to charge instead of using it while on charge (lesson learned the hard way with my blackberry 9790 😢), meaning that battery life is the same. There's a some slight heating, but maybe that's because of the tropical area I live in (I hate summer 😡).
I've never demanded much from this Redmi 9T, and in return, it has treated me well.
For now, this phone is all I need. If I decide to go back to gaming on mobile, I might look at an iPad or something.
So far, thank you Xiaomi, for a reliable electronic companion 😊.

I had one of these, bought it brand new, updated it several times and so far, never experienced problems, photos were decent enough to share on social media, battery lasted a day or two, and as for games even not a high end device, I did play some call of duty with graphics on the low and it went just fine.
This is the January Update 2025 for this phone. I posted a review before aswell. I've been using this phone since it was launched in 2021. Now at 4 years. This month the phone IC had issues. The phone was constantly restarting. I even factory resetted the phone. Used with and without sim and SD card but wid no luck. I went to my mobile repair guy he said dat it is a problem in nearly all Mi budget phones except the Note series. Tho the issue is fixed now but he said it will likely occur again. This is probably the 2nd time the phone has opened for me and fixed. So I may have to finally sell it because it's now a risk. The only thing stopping me is that its battery life is still awesome to this day and it's still good for some regular tasks like whatsapp, Insta and Fb. So I am still thinking on what to do
Note : the first time the phone was open the same year I bought it. It had wifi connectivity issues and the phone suddenly died. Thankfully the phone was in warranty back than so it got fixed
Redmi 9T is my first Redmi phone and also the last Rwdmi I will buy. I'm so done buying Redmi. It gave me my worst smartphone experience, developing three problems within 2 years, one within warranty and the other two outside warranty. I advice we stay off Redmi. I'm going back to Infinix, they're the best so far for me.
Will not recommend to purchase this phone unless you have a very limited budget. I've been using it for almost 4 yrs. Here is what I experienced:
- Reboot issues after 1-2 years of use (it becomes difficult to reboot; you'll have to attempt a fast reboot about 10 times or more to turn the phone on)
- Battery problems have now started, although I must admit I have used my phone roughly, such as charging and using it at the same time and frequently charging it even though it still has battery.
The only pro of this model is the battery—it can actually last more than a day. That’s it.

Pls everyone which one should i buy between "Redmi 9t and Motorola Moto G60" b/cos some say redmi is good while some say motorola is good pls i need ur advice.
It's a good phone, I've had it since the launch and to this day it works well the phone is not slow at all and the battery everything is working like new if you play games on your phone that's the thing that's gonna be kinda hard but just turn your graphics to low for good performance and you're all good
Weak WiFi reception.
can't receive any SMS on my redmi 9T
Try using Genesis os rom for redmi 9t, android 14, it's feels good like a new phone, maybe has some bugs but it's just nice and good for daily usage.
