I'll probably get it if it hits me.

There are apps when detecting the SoC is not Snapdragon 8 series, it will lower down their performance, locking the high performance selection due to afraid the SoC outside Snapdragon 8 series will be lower in performance. Similar to most smartphone apps developer for all other smartphones, they will prioritize optimizing for flagship processor, then slowly going down to optimize their apps for lower performance (if they have time), which is actually more difficult than optimizing for high performance SoC. This is very obvious in Android mobile gaming especially those very high demanding games. We as user can only makes complain at the Play Store comment section or directly email or contact developer in hope that they will unlock high performance feature or optimize their game for our smartphone with such kind of hardware, as those games are monetize, they might just ignore those minority smartphone, just focus on serving only flagship smartphone, such as flagship Samsung, Apple iPhone, flagship Snapdragon 8 series SoC, etc. (That's why Mediatek Dimensity 9000 series and 8000 series are being complained as much less optimized than the Snapdragon counterpart for some games)

BurnedByPoco, 26 Nov 2023Guys the phone heats up 🔥🔥 during normal usage! No gaming just browsing and WhatsApp (no video... morei barely notice that it heats up, mostly after charging. but with gaming it's not too hot. but warm yet bearable. unlike my 5 year old poco f1, it is very hot when gaming.

@Spanky I agree definitely. Dimensity 8300 ULTRA on standard F6 would be great compare to F5. Price to performance ratio. But unfortunately it will be on PRO. 100euro more then standard minimum. + Glass back(I think), no jack.(I know but I still use it even though I have Bose for like 300euro BT) Not much actually if you compare PTP. When F6 pro is out F5 will be under 300euro. And there are ofc other phones. Best phone of all time was Poco X3 Pro. Got it for 179euro. Can't beat this good beer.

Poco F5 5g don't have any video recording of 1080p@120fps as given in the description of the "1080p@30/60/120fps", the phone is good, the camera is okayish but not bad

But overall, it is still a Snapdragon processor, optimization won't be an issue, but you need to wait, because Discord is a free apps, quite normal free apps won'5 promising any updates unless plenty of their user from POCO F5 complain to them

I did not say that single core performance is not important AT ALL, like you imply, but rather that is is not THAT important nowadays. The applications which I use are optimized for multiple cores and don’t really benefit from having a single powerful one, like it was the case during the single core SoCs of the early Android days.
Furthermore, regarding the AnTuTu scores, I just wanted to remind you that the K70E uses an enhanced SoC, namely the Dimensity 8300 ULTRA, not the regular one. This further boosts its performance.
And even if, for argument’s sake, we go by your calculations of 26% performance improvements over the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, that is still an improvement over the Poco F5, and a rather significant one. And that is without even looking at the rest of K70E’s features, which are significantly better than the F5’s across the board (except for the camera).

It's something that Discord needs to do to have the higher fps support for the phone as the phone needs to be supported on there part
I remember when F1 come out then that phone was not supported in Asphalt 9 game to run it with 60 fps so later they added that phone to there game support and that was done by gameloft part with there own app update.
