Casstreamer, 29 May 2025after 3 and half years, this phone is dead now
the service said it is cuz of cpu issueI think it's motherboard issue but I'm not totally sure.
The issue definitely seems to exist with some lot as I saw similar posts elsewhere, and mine also died all in sudden (no sign of life whatsoever and the service center said had to change motherboard with price higher than purchasing the phone itself).
The phone was good, but I wasn't happy with the service center.

man just get this phone for cheap, change the battery(if you have to) you can put a 5000mah battery from mi10t in here no problem. unlock the bootloader install lineage and enjoy the best of your life.

There usually is good deal from sellers in Hong Kong.
*It's preferable if the device already has global rom (even better if boot loader is unlockable)
Still a gem. One of the best phones they've made. Still standing after 4 years of heavy use

I've been using this for almost four years now. Before this I had iphone 7 and I would wonder if this phone stable enough. Happy to say it's quite stable still. Sometimes it crashes or freezes but its like once in a couple of months. After hyperos update, UI looks like newer phones. 6gb ram holds up quite nice. I can play most of the games and didnt experince anything bad. One thing I dont like is that camera dont have OIS and as I am a bad photographer, my shots are not sharp and looks blurry.
2 months ago, I changed the battery myself. Looked it up on youtube and it is simple thing to do it yourself. Battery life got better, especially after %10 it used to die immediately. Now though it holds up until 0.
I hope my next phone would last like this one too.

You know, i have bought this phone the day it got released for 370$ (256GB, 8GB ram) and i have to say, based on my 4 years' experience and use of this phone, I'm still satisfied and will keep using it until it no longer can keep up, sure the battery gets hot when i play heavy games on it or use it on summer, but the performance is surprisingly good and can do my basic stuff on it without causing any frustration (using social media and phone calls), the battery can still holds up for like a day if you put the heavy games aside and the fast charging i got with it is still working well and havent bought any other alternative for it yet.
do i recommend this phone? of course not, i would suggest a 2025 Xiaomi phone since i believe those phones can last better than poco f3, but i can proudly say that poco f3 made my 4 years of using it worth the 370$ i spend on. i will keep using it until the performance becomes laggy and sluggish or the battery can no longer keep up or overheats a lot.
sorry if my English language is bad.
Anonymous, 03 May 2025When it happens, it dies for no apparent reason, may be due to circuit shortage (?) As for F5... moreI noticed it happens mostly to heavy gamers. For the F5 we will have to wait till next year before we can judge.
Anonymous, 29 Apr 2025Ive seen some of those posts too since day 1 i bought my poco f3 (my 1st ever poco/xiaomi phon... moreYes, but it has happened to my phone personally with the Poco X3 pro, but that phone's dead issue was like 10%. Also someone I knew personally had a dead Poco F3 after 3 years. Realistically, I would say the chances of a Poco F3 phone randomly dying after 3 years is at least 0.5%, which is 50,000 smartphones out of a million. Still is big to me, and most of the other phone brands don't have it as common for them.

Joseph214, 29 Apr 2025What's with some Poco phones having dead motherboards. I wonder if after 3 years Poco F5/... moreWhen it happens, it dies for no apparent reason, may be due to circuit shortage (?)
As for F5 series, have not seen the issue yet
