I was looking for a tablet to satisfy my school needs. I was originally looking for a laptop but my school's requirement list was only allowing me to use a tablet. I thought it would be lame and not as cool as a laptop because I had never used one before and I was using my father's old laptop and was asking my parents for two years for a new laptop. But when my uncle gave me this tablet, I was absolutely amazed by it and a really good one, probably the best one in this price bracket. I wanted an iPad Air like my friends but this tablets 256 GB ROM and 8 GB RAM, GPU, Battery life and all the other specifications were competing with Apple products and genuinely, its best variant 'Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4' along with its accessories could've been the best tablet in my entire class. It satisfies all my necessary needs and my most essential wants. People should really check out the Xiaomi Pad 6 series and its accessories according to their needs. I'm also quite satisfied, this tabled offers a lot for the price.

This thing has replaced my laptop, I have lineage on it and its fast, I do research and typing stuff on it and battery lasts 3 days easy

I'm not even gonna touch HyperOS. I have the Poco X6 Pro, and I really miss MIUI (Can't believe I said that). HyperOS just feels half cooked, like a buggy version of MIUI, like some Frankenstein alpha-test project.
What I don't understand though is why there's no working sidebar to open apps in the game center slide-out app like on phones. It's just the "fps booster" and clear memory/trash, nothing of apps.
The option is there in the game center, but it doesn't do anything even if it's on, it's broken.
Is that there on HyperOS and does it work?
The FPS seems fluid for me (8gb version). Tested a lot with Shizuku and TakoStats, but I'm mostly stuck on 124hz when I'm on the refresh rate option screen. 90hz and 60hz is on the dot correct, but anything above 124hz seems to be very brief moments. But I'm not gonna complain much about that as it's so hard to see any difference between 120 and 144hz.
But I'm satisfied, I paid 295€ for this 8gb/256gb. And I'm glad for once that Xiaomi knows that USB 3.x exists. I'm so tired of seeing "flagship killers" still stuck on USB 2.0 in 2024...

Google recently moved it, almost as if they want to hide it on purpose.

Just ordered it, U... moreI'm still on MIUI 14 and no issues. I could try HyperOS since I know my way through unlocking the bootloader and can revert if needed but sincerely it is good as it is, so why bother. Updating is kinda overrated most of the time unless they fix something actually critical.
Pad 7 seems to be coming out soon. It will share many specs with this one but apparently it will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or 8s Gen 3, and 120W charging. Another monster in the making.

Rushaan, 18 Jul 2024I like this tab but the only problem is despite having 144Hz refresh rate set it's not al... moreI remember posting here telling that the 144Hz display of this tab isn't always like 144Hz and that it feels as if it switches between 60Hz and 144Hz on its own despite being set to 144Hz. Well that issue seemed to be resolved on its own without me doing anything or updating and in most apps it's 144Hz all the time now except youtube.
