Amazing tablet. Nowadays some can be found for under 150$! Snapdragon 860 is a crazy-fast chipset. This tablet deserves all the glaze.

The price for performance is crazy, saw someone selling the 256gb version for only $200 and also 700K AnTuTu is really damn good, wish it was 1,2M (jk lol)

I used it 4 years + and it’s a mind blowing pad. No hassle at all. I never think buy new pad/pad. Thanks xiaomi.

ID give you a small hint.
I noticed after working as tech support for a stream service that there might be a ton of dependencies or reasons why your tab/smartphone can lag
Sometimes there might be a setting or an app that you are not aware of to provoke the lag/crash/issue
You can try and back up your data and reset everything - you'll see improvements.
I do have Pad 5 - I don't use too often and it works pretty fine for a 4year+ tablet :)

Guys, can someone help me? When my Xiaomi Pad 5 was on MIUI 12.5, the performance was great, but after updating to MIUI 13 and MIUI 14, it became very laggy. I wonder if HyperOS has fixed the performance lag.
Note: I didn't wipe its data after any of these updates, so if I format it, will the problem be resolved?

2025 now, I've had this Xiaomi pad 5 since 2022. No issues whatsoever, fast for all the purposes (netflix, Web surfing, social media), no lagg whatsoever. Only drawback is that it's a bit heavy so not too comfortable holding for extended periods of time. Responsive pad, I enabled Memory extension which allows an extra 6gb on top of the 6gb physical ram. Screen is very nice and detailed for movies. I love this pad

bought mine 2022, after 2 years it suddenly restarting on its on until one day it just turned off. tried hard reset and charching it for 1 hour nothing happened. brought it to XIAOMI REPAIRS after one week of diagnostics came the bad news. Main Board needs to be replaced, which cost roughly 2/3 of the unit price, also were told that if repaired all of my files and pics won't be recovered.
Finally decided to give it up. waste of time and money.
just sharing my own experience.

Still use mipad 5 but have bought mi pad 6 for children. Only noticable difference is - mi pad 6 can be connected to external display via type-c to HDMI. Newer is better but my old tablet is still good for my needs.

Used this tablet for 2 years now.. no hiccups EVER! The best tablet purchase I made including the magnetic keyboard and stylus! The Snapdragon 860 is super snappy and the screen is bright which suite my needs while watching videos and movies.

Budget is limited so yeahm just want to know, how great of a difference the Pad 5 and 6 have.
