It seems logical to me that users who don't care about the foldable phones can misinform about the market trend or the quality of some products (especially the cutting-edge Mix Fold 4, thinner than the Magic V2) that they haven't even tested in photos lol.. probably can't access expensive enthusiast products..so let's keep your Galaxy A and comment on those, isn't that quicker?

Folds are nice to have until the insurance runs out and the buyers are in for a rude awakening. Even the used market for the foldables sucks as they all have screen damages.

Purchased nov 15 2024 while in china
The inner large screen was nice to have, But there were some weird display issues , some apps dont display correcly, the phone freaze and Whatsapp contacts disappear all the time.
After a month a a small dot and black line apeared on in the middle of the inner screen. The dot and the line kept growing daily.
I went to xiaomi repair , in waiting line before was a lady with defective mix fold and looked for the any outer scratches and blamed me for damaging the folding axles.
My advice dont buy this phone or any high end Xiaomi.

this phone's design looks dated in my opinion. Mix fold 2 was such a beautiful phone and instead of sticking to one design they are changing it on all 3 of their fold phones, find what suits you as a company and stick to 1 design.
I would've bought this one as it's a straight upgrade to fold 2 but absolutely hate design of fold 3.

I'm using the Mix Fold 3 here in the U.S. on T-Mobile and I seriously doubt I'll ever go back to a traditional phone. I went from a Galaxy S24 Ultra to Mix Fold 3 and it's way more enjoyable to use. The weight of the Mix is justifiable because it's a pocketable tablet. The OnePlus open needs to improve on battery life before I'll consider it and I don't like the camera island taking up half the back of the phone. Typing on any foldable opened is much better than typing on a traditional phone as well. Watching content on the foldables is just about the same experience as a regular phone because of the black borders but using apps and browsing the web on a foldable is just better.

Mediocre photo image pr... moreI have a S24 Ultra (had 4 Samsung phones), and a Xiaomi Mix Fold 4.
Updates are indeed a mystery, but there is nothing stopping Samsung from just saying, we done on this one before 7 years comes up.
No out of box e-sim support. This could be changed with an e-sim addon card, but also depends if you use it.
It has a desktop mode? Just tested to make sure. There is a developer option to force desktop mode on secondary screen if you are having issues. Requires a reboot.
IPX8 seems to be standard for current foldables, so that's a manufacturer wide issue if you feel it such.
Imaging processing I would say is lower quality than my Samsung. But my S24U also has a better cam. Certainly acceptable though.
I do sometimes experience lag when first running an app but most work fine there after. Haven't noticed lag after an update yet. Its got 16gb of ram and I usually see it around 8 to 9 unless I open a big game.
The only IOS I have is an Ipod Touch from like 2009 or something. Not sure if the UI is similar or not. Works fine though, has good features easily accessible and if you don't like the desktop, get a launcher. Im using Nova Launcher on mine.
So far my batter is lasting better than my S24U most days. It chargers faster too, so really a non issue even if it was lower. And what do you expect, more screens lols.
I believe it is using a lithium carbon battery or something different than the usual lithium ion, so that may be contributing to its change in capacity as well. Its not "that" much bigger to have that much more battery. But I'm no battery tech so maybe it is.
$500 is a joke lols. You know full well that price is for mid tier candy bar phones. They can get the job done no less if thats all you want.

Currently not a global version. I am using one in the US on Verizon very usable so far. Pre-installed Google Services enabled in settings.
There are rumors of a global release but nothing confirmed so far.

Would you say that the Mix Fold 4 backside is much more prone to scratches than the Mix Fold 3, especially the blank textured one?
I would hate to pay a fortune just to see all kind of scratches on my device.
