Mediocre photo image pr... moreI have a S24 Ultra (had 4 Samsung phones), and a Xiaomi Mix Fold 4.
Updates are indeed a mystery, but there is nothing stopping Samsung from just saying, we done on this one before 7 years comes up.
No out of box e-sim support. This could be changed with an e-sim addon card, but also depends if you use it.
It has a desktop mode? Just tested to make sure. There is a developer option to force desktop mode on secondary screen if you are having issues. Requires a reboot.
IPX8 seems to be standard for current foldables, so that's a manufacturer wide issue if you feel it such.
Imaging processing I would say is lower quality than my Samsung. But my S24U also has a better cam. Certainly acceptable though.
I do sometimes experience lag when first running an app but most work fine there after. Haven't noticed lag after an update yet. Its got 16gb of ram and I usually see it around 8 to 9 unless I open a big game.
The only IOS I have is an Ipod Touch from like 2009 or something. Not sure if the UI is similar or not. Works fine though, has good features easily accessible and if you don't like the desktop, get a launcher. Im using Nova Launcher on mine.
So far my batter is lasting better than my S24U most days. It chargers faster too, so really a non issue even if it was lower. And what do you expect, more screens lols.
I believe it is using a lithium carbon battery or something different than the usual lithium ion, so that may be contributing to its change in capacity as well. Its not "that" much bigger to have that much more battery. But I'm no battery tech so maybe it is.
$500 is a joke lols. You know full well that price is for mid tier candy bar phones. They can get the job done no less if thats all you want.

Currently not a global version. I am using one in the US on Verizon very usable so far. Pre-installed Google Services enabled in settings.
There are rumors of a global release but nothing confirmed so far.

Would you say that the Mix Fold 4 backside is much more prone to scratches than the Mix Fold 3, especially the blank textured one?
I would hate to pay a fortune just to see all kind of scratches on my device.

Furkan, 22 Jul 2024I have Samsung S23 and i sold my Xiaomi 12 Xiaomi 12 was great but much overheating I am sadthat was due to the problematic snapdragon 8 gen 1 chipset manufactured on Samsung 4nm proces,the heating issue affected all snapdragon 8 gen 1 phones ,so if you buy a snapdragon 8 gen 2 xiaomi phone ,you probably will not have those heating issues
