I once tried a Xiaomi phone on T-Mobile, it worked but often without coverage. Used to drop oftne times. It lacks most of the requested antennas in US. What about this phone? Do you feel any problems in coverage or communication?

DarkOmenX, 05 Sep 2023Got the 12/256 Carbo Mix Fold 3 all I can say it’s beyond IMPRESSIVE. Although I know its Chin... moreThe xiaomi phone don't have a Google problem you can download it easily without any problem the problem comes to Huawei and honor they are banned from google only must of the Chinese phones can work
So they lost band 20 (and a couple of others) but gave you a nice punch hole to stare at in your vast 8.03" screen lol
Got the 12/256 Carbo Mix Fold 3 all I can say it’s beyond IMPRESSIVE. Although I know its China release only the phone can be used with all Google Services outside China however it takes a lot of time to manually install almost everything one need to get it Google orientated.
Thanks to Xiaomi to allow uninstallation of Chinese based apps.
Also, thanks t Xiaomi for allowing to change of AI Engine from Mi (pure Chinees) to Google Assistant and the best option yet NONE.
It’s a magnificent device with all the premium hardware and feel and the first Foldable that actually feels as a normal phone when folded and yet once unfolded become a beautiful and useful pad.
I have no idea how they made this thing so thin as it is, really thin about the size of any other premium non-foldable flagship phone on market today. Operation wise its lightning fast and now during my initial days, of constant doing “something”, optimizing fiddling around , camera modes , games , watching Netflix or Disney for about 45 min the battery usually ends to about 30% before I go to sleep and put it on the Wireless charger ( in last 4 days On charger at 0000 taken off 0545) ,I believe the battery will last even longer once I stop playing and fiddling around so much and start use the phone as per my real needs .
To bad Xiaomi decide not to release this device globally as the competition would have a strong foldable flagship to compete with on the global market .
I guess it’s a win without a battle for Samsung then, too bad however I’m very glad to have it 😊
Way too big, prefer 6.5inch mini version.
Love the boxy rectangular S23ultra design, unlike the hideous ugly Samsung F5 z5 curved edges,
any one got it can confirm if the phone can do
type c to hdmi output??
LOL ... " the sour grape " or " the grass always greener the other side of the lawn " syndrome am seeing here and around the global audience ( outside of the home market ) ..
if one take a step back and vision the facts objectively one must say Xiaomi's decision to only sell this home market made sense , yes its maturing , the folding part both software and hardware but its still had much to be work on ( and not just Xiaomi, but all folding phones )
Keeping it close and limiting to a single market made for ( still pretty big in quantity ) a reasonable sizeable sale volume and yet good for easy support, R&D reflection .. and dare I say the production capacity upon this model likely is not going to be on par with those other non folding peers , it short it made a lot of business sense both short and long term , using the home market as a wide audience is both business vise a smart one but also function as the final Beta
I wager they will only be releasing it globally after they really sure they work out any early issue and satisfied that its able to be reasonably doing fine against the other folding phones , at the price these folding phones asked for , customers not going to take any excuse and should not be
Jacksy, 27 Aug 2023What a disappointment. Lots of hype but end up being ANOTHER China exclusive.
And this phone ... more"No feature like Flex Mode to make use of the form factor"
False, it does have Flex Mode like features.
"Phone is too big"
Shocking news, it's almost like it's a foldable phone.
"More cameras but takes rather crappy pictures"
Where are you getting all this false information from?
"Bad performance"
Is anybody here supposed to believe that?
Watch Flossy Carter's first impressions video and you might get to know a little more.

What a disappointment. Lots of hype but end up being ANOTHER China exclusive.
And this phone in itself is another disappointment.
1. MIUI needs a big overhaul
2. No feature like Flex Mode to make use of the form factor
3. Phone is too big
4. More cameras but takes rather crappy pictures
5. Bad performance
It seems the Mix Fold 3 has the best currently battery life for a foldable right now. They did well. Let see if the Magic V2 5000mAh battery can stand up to this.
PanRT, 24 Aug 2023Good battery life, Better than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5.Very good actually, better than even some slab phones like the S23+ and the Xiaomi 13 Pro.
Here is a review of the phone by Ben Sin.

This foldable phone can withstand water despite the fact that it doesn't have an official IP rating, however it being a phone meant for the chinese market, it has some notification delay, but that is an easy fix, if Xiaomi wants to fix it.
Tandy, 17 Aug 2023Today, it is unthinkable that a phone doesn't have eSIM.Not surprising. this phone is meant for the China market. eSim is not easy to get in China, compared to other countries. Of course given that this is a China release, not global they would not have eSim.
