The Xiaomi Mi A3 was previously reported to debut in India on August 23. But now Xiaomi has confirmed that it's actually launching a couple of days earlier - on August 21, only a day after the Realme 5 series goes official.
The Mi A3 is a based on the Mi CC9e but runs stock Android and is a part of the Android One program. It's powered by the Snapdragon 665 SoC and sports a 6.01" HD+ Super AMOLED display having a fingerprint scanner embedded in it.
For photography, the Mi A3 comes with a 32MP selfie camera and boasts a triple camera setup at the back comprising of a 48MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP depth sensor units. The smartphone packs a 4,030 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
It's unclear if Xiaomi will only launch the Mi A3 in India on August 21, or if it will also launch a rebadged Mi CC9 as the Mi A3 Pro at the event. We will know for sure next Wednesday.
It's been available in Europe for some time now. Don't bother with this one. I already regret buying it. The 720p screen is simply not good enough. Pixellated and with strange artefacts due to the amoled tech. Performance of the SOC is poor/average. ...
And eventually it will fail miserably in India as competition is higher here... Anyhow everything depends on what price they launch it here
