This phone is something! Truly worth every rial I spent for it. I bought this phone in 2015 with a very small budget In Iran. Still powerful and working.
There was a huge market place for it in Iran and the Screen replacement is found. Actually I have changed mines screen from white to black and changed back cover, camera and camera glass for less than 30 bucks!
I'm quite satisfied with the battery life too. Haven't changed since the day I bought the phone and running awesome.
I'm planning an changing the emmc chip of it to achieve higher storage. The main chip is thgbmbg7d2kbail and I'm quite sure it would support very similar thgbmfg9c4lbair which is 64GB (confirm if you have done it).
And for those who are using a 64gb version already, could you post your emmc chip code?

So I've used this Mi 4 for years, since 2016. Awesome phone I might add. When Windows Phone is still a vibe, this phone can be installed Windows 10 Mobile and I'm using it until Windows 10 Mobile is dead on 2017-ish. Then I revert to MiUI. In 2020-2021 I finally could install custom rom myself (but not built myself), and it's still running LineageOS 18.1. The disappointing things about this phone imo is: the internal memory is slow enough for an emmc 5.0. My older emmc 4.5 phones load lineageOS and apps better and faster with similar ram and snapdragon. Also no SD Card slot is a pain now. I have an OTG MicroUSB Flashdrive 64 GB for watching offline vids and backup photos, still inconvenient tho. The lack of fingerprint (well what do we expect from 2014 phone?) also became a pain nowadays, although it's never been a problem when using it in 2016-2018s. Still perfect for secondary phone, or for experiments.

After two and a half years of buying this phone, it has not had the slightest problem
The phone's camera is still better than many new phones
There is no slowdown in the phone

It was a very good phone of its time.
Best thing about it is very high build quality. Mine lasted more than 4 years of rough use without any hardware issues, then one day I dropped it with extreme force out of anger on a personal issue. Yet it survives with touch not working, meanwhile the frame got twisted, screen shattered. Such a loyal build, I still remember and feel sorry for it.
And the downside, albeit a big one, was the poor signal. Terrible experience in countrysides where my friends were doing their job fine with 4G and I was struggling to get some minimal speed. Infact that was the factor behind the aforementioned drop incident.
But it the end, using this phone was a pleasing experience due to premium look and feel, super longevity of hardware, a very good screen. It was a gem.

This is a good version... but I'm asking myself, how can I get other languages, apart from English and Chinese?
