I ask because I used to own a Xiaomi Note 12s and I found it too small so I gave it to my dad. I then got a Tecno Pova 6 which is good but I really love the Xiaomi themes that I can change the WiFi, Bluetooth, battery, VPN and SIM connection icons using the status bar customization. I can't do that on the Pova 6 without using a third part app. Is there a way to get Xiaomi OS on Tecno Pova 6?

It was XIAOMI that released the EOL for this phone. It's a shame that the EOL ended much earlier, already in December 2023.

It was my phone for almost two years. Initially all was perfectly fine .. some minor miui bugs solved by later updates. Camera was pretty good, may be on par with my current A54..BUT After 1 year battery life decreased
significantly and in the end of second year motherboard died. Hopefully I could have it repaired for free. It had few days warranty remaining. Do not recommend buying it second hand although my mother still uses my repaired unit

But you're right about the latter - not even Sony can tame those Samsung-fabbed monsters despite their fanatical attention to long-term battery life. Juan Bagnell (aka SomeGadgetGuy) proved it when he made a video recording comparison with the Xperia 1 Mk5 alongside its rivals*.

Evil crash bandicoot, 12 Sep 2024This or a73 5g Get the Samsung. 778G is a much better chip than 780G because of TSMC fabrication. 780G was built on the same Samsung fabrication as 888 and 888+, and they were known for excessive overheating. If you still insist on Xiaomi, get the Mi 11 Lite NE since it replaces 780G with 778G.

Got mine in October 2021. Now, I need to charge it 2x a day. The past month it's been overheating when I'm watching videos. One time, it just died with full battery. Fingerprint still working except for hidden apps.

Used to have this from 2021 Christmas to 2024-birthday, (now using pixel 7a) this phone was bad, very bad cam quality, if Minecraft on high distance and unlimited FPS, it would crash along the system.

excaclty one year ago it died on me beacause it couldnt handle its heat while tethering hotspot to xbox. Died while watching youtube 2 weeks later, it was checked that the cause was burnt chip.

I think I just found the right phone. Weight: OK. Gorilla Glass: OK. Power efficient chipset: OK. Only that its Xiaomi again but I will try.
