Anonymous, 18 Oct 2024The 888 just overheats during any moderately demanding task, it's just the way it's ... moreoh that sux.
temperature here is hotter than there, and literally there's no winter.
Does the battery life of this phone suc?
For example, how many % does battery go down when you sleep?
Mine goes down like 10 %, is it normal?
I feel like SD 888 drains battery fast or is it just me?
C7TJFVB7-CAZ, 21 Aug 2024i just did then when i changed to a Nohon battery :) and put GELID Solutions Paste on the SoC ^.^Is it good? i also planned on using GELID as its thicker than mx4, i also wanted to add more copper for more heat dissipation.

I live in a coastal Mediterranean area and ambient temperature is usually around 30-32 C° in the summer and the phone was still overheating a lot when playing games on the lowest settings. It got marginally better now with winter kicking in, but the temperatures are still high and affecting battery life.
I don't recommend getting the phone if you live in a hot area, especially that the Mi 11 is known to suffer from a poorly designed PCB that causes the SoC to lose connection to the board and cease to boot until the chipset gets "reballed". This might (and I emphasize the word might, because I didn't personally test it) be remedied by using a phone cooler to try and keep temperatures in check. I repeat again, I did NOT test the viability of this option as I merely based this suggestion on test results performed on completely different devices. Proceed at your own risk.
Sda, 08 Oct 2024Is xiaomi mi 11 still worth it this 2024? Any suggestionsNo is not worth it, android 14 is the last update, the Snapdragon 888 overheats and makes the battery drain faster
Is xiaomi mi 11 still worth it this 2024? Any suggestions

No overheating or any of them ... moreI guess that most phones won't overheat often unless people start playing one of the heavy games.
But does this phone still get warmer than others?
And how about your climate, do you live in cool place?
Because I live in a hot place, and phones do get warm often; therefore, I am a bit more sensitive about heat.
I saw a detail review from golden reviewer on youtube that SD 888 clearly has some issue when doing heavy load when compared to older ones, so yeah... i'm a bit more skeptical about this one.
XiaomiOwner, 30 Jun 2024Hi, can somebody help me and tell me, why my charging of the xiaomi mi 11 is so slow. In the r... moreWon't know for sure.
But if you think it's due to heat, have you tried charging in cool room?
If not, there could be a problem with battery.
I once had a phone with battery getting bloated after using it for a few years, and that caused me to have issues such as slow charging or stopping to charge often.
I just want to say: this phone has caused me SO MUCH TROUBLE.
Initially it was just the deadboot issue. No biggie, I changed the motherboard. But from there everything just went south.....
Upon changing the motherboard, I accidentally cut the camera flex cable. I replaced the cameras which costed $30, no problem. But upon replacing the camera, I accidentally drilled a hole into the display! I paid $122 for a display replacement which turned out to be counterfeit. So I shipped it back to China. Three months passed and the seller has never received the display, so I basically wasted $122.
THEN, I bought another display which was genuine this time, but for some reason the phone won't turn on. The motherboard is broken again????
And NOW..... despite wasting all my time and money on absolutely nothing, I still plan on buying another Mi 11.
Am I stupid for buying another Mi 11? Crazy perhaps? I probably am. I definitely am. But at the same time, I love this phone when it worked.
I guess let this be a lesson for future people: don't make the same mistakes as me!

Bros install EliteROMLite or Elitte Hyper OS for this thing and be happy :D
IOS recents that work even better then on an Iphone ^.^ and are smooth AF, double tap to wake and all works and the general optimisation and bugs has being patched out so with EliteROM on MIUI 14 this phones flying and is super stable :) with hyper ois well its less fast and has got a bit of an input lag for some reason but if that isnt a problem then there you go then :*
Installed new ROM HyperOS and the phones battery is draining fast while performing normal tasks, opening photos or googling a few things and battery drains fast.
Please fix this or simply stay with MIUI 14
XiaomiOwner, 30 Jun 2024Hi, can somebody help me and tell me, why my charging of the xiaomi mi 11 is so slow. In the r... moreok, so problem was with cable. You need to use original usb cable from xiaomi, because that cable is different and only with that cable it allows you to charge it with max speed
Hi, can somebody help me and tell me, why my charging of the xiaomi mi 11 is so slow. In the review they say, that from 0 to 100% it last 50 min. But in my case it last two times longer, 1 hour 40 minutes. I am using original charger, cable is not damaged, even if i turn off smart charging. I am using miui.eu ROM 14. I was thinking because of heat in the summe but it was slow even before. Thanks.
Ab, 05 Jun 2024Are you in Hyper Os or MiUI?I'm running MIUI 14. I just recently got an update that updated the security patch from February to April. I believe it's an EU (Vodaphone) ROM on it.
But to anyone who's experiencing problems or is planning to buy I'll say this:
Don't underestimate the importance of backing up.
Tech isn't perfect, there's always a tiny chance it'll randomly stop working and whatnot.
If you plan to buy a Mi11 today know this:
It's not too late, because the market is so stagnant - Mi14 is worse in some aspects than Mi11 because Xiaomi has become greedy.
My next phone might not be a Xiaomi if they keep going this path.
If you want a newer Mi, save your money and get 11 instead.
Also if you plan to buy this it's recommended (I'd say mandatory) you install a custom Xiaomi EU ROM.
It's approved by Xiaomi but it's a community mod so it takes some brain to figure out including rooting it afterwards etc.
I planned to have this phone for 5 years, but now after 2.5 it still feels and looks brand new despite all the work I did using it and all the heavy multitasking.
Apps used to require you buy newer phones every couple years to work fast, but it seems that both apps and phones have become stagnant, and don't require more computing power anymore, so my Mi11 might live 7 years (Amen) like in the good old days of non-smart phones.

No overheating or any of them problems people here complain about.
Never got any scratches or breaks - all I did was put a cover on the back, and a glass screen on the front.
I dropped it at least a dozen times by now.
Never had any issue with this phone.
I took good care of it and it serves me well.
It's incredibly fast and it has better stats than Mi14... Yikes..
Bet Xiaomi regrets making this phone because after this one, all phones became smaller unless you buy an Ultra.
They even banned import of this model so that my Xiaomi local store can sell it for a premium price lol
I'm legit so lucky to have bought it.
No other phone compared back then, and today, it's still in the top because the market is stagnant.
Now they sell phones like Mi11 for a premium price under the name Ultra.
Previous phone was MiMax2, had it for 5 years, still miss that 16:9 ratio 😢 RIP sweet prince
Remember, people come here to complain about broken phones, so it makes it seem like all owners have these problems.
