Xiaomi Android

Xiaomi has launched the Mi 9 Pro 5G back in September with 40W fast-charging and 30W wireless charging, but the company is now ready to top that. An upcoming phone by the Chinese maker was certified by CCC, confirming support for 11V/6A charging, which adds up to 66W - faster than any phone currently on the market.

Xiaomi certifies a 5G smartphone with 66W fast-charging

The phone is unlikely to be part of the Redmi K30 lineup since it was already certified last week with a 30W charger in of the box. Given the Mi Note 10 lineup is already out there selling in a Pro and non-Pro variant, the model numbers M2001J1E and M2001J1C are likely for the Mi 10 that usually arrives at the beginning of the calendar year.

Arriving with 66W fast-charging capabilities would be one-upping Oppo which is currently the company that offers the highest rate on the market. The Oppo Reno Ace supports 65W charging, bringing its 4,000 mAh battery from 0 to 100% in exactly 28 minutes.

Just don’t expect huge gains as we are already reaching the point of diminishing returns - the Reno Ace is just two minutes quicker than its twin brother Realme X2 Pro that uses the year-old 50W SuperVOOC standard. Still, the 66W charging is bound to be a big step up from Xiaomi's current charging speeds and even small gains are always welcome.

Noone at the moment but somewhere here was posted a topic about graphene batteries made by Samsung and they will be super costly. Flagship device with graphene batteries will cost more than Galaxy Fold.
