Xiaomi Redmi Android

Xiaomi is the best-selling smartphone brand in India and has been comfortably sitting at the top position for the past three years. One of the reasons is the ability to sell impressive Redmi Note smartphones at low prices.

The company celebrates eight years of Redmi Note sales in India, and it announced on Twitter that it shipped over 72 million units of the series since the first smartphone was announced back in 2014.

The Redmi Note phones are the best-selling series in Xiaomiโ€™s portfolio, as the company announced 240 million sales globally last year, and weโ€™re waiting for an updated 2022 amount soon. The main reason for the huge success is the rapid expansion of the retail network, with 3,000 stores and service centers across India alone.

To celebrate the occasion, Xiaomi discounted the Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11S by up to INR1,500 (about $20). The prices now begin from INR12,999 ($160) and INR15,999 ($195), respectively. The Redmi Note 12 series is yet to escape the domestic scene, and weโ€™re eagerly awaiting to see whether Xiaomi will once again use a confusing naming scheme or will keep it streamlined across international borders and markets.
