Xiaomi 15 Ultra shoots Xiaomi SU7 Ultra's record-breaking lap in Shanghai

Xiaomi is launching the 15 Ultra in China later this month (perhaps on February 26) alongside the SU7 Ultra performance sedan. To ramp up the teaser campaign for both Ultras, today Xiaomi has released a video of the SU7 Ultra setting a new lap record at the Shanghai International Circuit, and the video was shot entirely on the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The car has been doing the rounds on various circuits, most notably the Nurburgring Nordschleife, where it set a record as the fastest four-door car back in October.

The SU7 Ultra has been up for pre-order since October, with a starting price of CNY 814,900 (approximately $111,000). Once it fully debuts alongside the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, deliveries will start. Xiaomi has an ambitious plan to sell 300,000 cars this year (10,000 of them SU7 Ultras), which would be around double the number for 2024, its first year in the car business.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra has been teased extensively by the brand in recent days. It's expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It will have a quad rear camera setup, comprising a 50 MP main shooter with a 1-inch type sensor, a 50 MP ultrawide, a 50 MP short-range telephoto, and a 200 MP long-range periscope telephoto. It's been rumored to get a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.
