Xiaomi Android

Xiaomi is already clearing the legal hurdles before launching its 14 series, and the Pro member of the lineup just got certified by 3C. The smartphone with model number 23116PN5BC will support 120W wired charging, just like two of its predecessors.

The appearance on 3C (Chinese Compulsory Certification) means the phone passed mandatory testing and moved another step towards market availability.

Xiaomi 14 Pro certified with 120W fast charging

We already learned the Xiaomi 14 is coming with 90W charging, which is an upgrade over the 13 series, but apparently, the manufacturer is okay with sticking with 120W for the Pro variant.

The Xiaomi 14 series is expected to arrive in November, days after Qualcomm announces its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is set to happen on October 24. China has a huge shopping holiday on November 11, called Singles' Day and Xiaomi will be looking to have its flagships ready in time for that.

Xiaomi is likely to jump on the bandwagon and introduce its flagship right in time when local consumers are in spending mode, although an international launch might take some time. The previous series needed over 2 months to go from local to global, and we expect the same development with the 14 lineup.

Almost all CPUs have different core types. In theory, kernel should use power efficient cores for basic tasks, but practically that doesn't work this way.
