I own this phone model and I finally saw what is eating up the phone's battery. When I have only SIM internet on and regardless of whether it is LTE or WCDMA signal and regardless of whether it is good or bad the battery leaks. As long as Wi-Fi and SIM Internet are turned off, the battery has a very small percentage drop. Checked!

You'll find videos on YouTube or articles on how to do it and what you can safely eliminate

Planning on getting this phone later this year - if they will re stock it and tariffs don't affect it.
Apart from logging out of Xiaomi Cloud, turning off background app refresh, turning off notifications, Turning off ads & recommendations what other things i can do to help improve the battery life (& improve performance) for these Xiaomi phones?

Still some phone may or may not have bad heat management, we just can't be sure sometimes.
Like I observe some phone gets hotter than the other while charging on fast charge.
I think each side of the claim Yes/No has some truth in it.

Using it for + 8 months...Camera is weakest point . There is no autofocus...so most of photos specially from close distance are out of focus...

Zuzuz, 19 Mar 2025Only for the size. Everything else is superior in 13 ProNah dude ,Xiaomi 13 pro has slightly better cameras and curve 2k display which is a subjective thing and that's it.Xiaomi 14 has better chip ,better battery life and usb 3.2 all of this would be better for the longrun.

Chinese phones have very good batteries, some having guarantees for 4 years in which degradation is only to 80% of original capacity.

I couldnt afford the panics that my phone might die halfway during an important meeting with client, or drained while I am desperately need a Uber ride. More so, the longevity might not be so relevant as the phone generally would be obsolete by year 5 due to eol of android OS support, and it's imperative and advisable to procure a new phone by that time.

47cosmos, 26 Feb 2025How is the battery runtime before vs. after the HyperOS 2 update?In my case I notice it got worse when I upgraded to 2.0. It drained much faster. So I downgrade and problem solved. Plus, did not saw any real benefits going to the 2.0 hyper os, in fact, I think has better themes and icon arrangements on the 1.0. at least, that's what I notice.
