Last week, we learned that WhatsApp was developing a feature to let users add people and group chats to lists. Now, we hear that WhatsApp is working on allowing users to filter chats through these custom lists.
This revelation comes from WABetaInfo, who also shared screenshots showing how users can filter chats through custom lists. The labels for the custom lists will appear alongside the current labels of "All," "Unread," and "Groups" in the app. The filter's name will be the same as the list, and when you click on it, you'll see the individual and group chats associated with that list.
This feature was discovered in WhatsApp's beta app for Android, having version number 2.24.18.16. However, since it's still under development, it's unavailable even for beta users. But you can expect it to arrive for everyone on the beta channel in the coming weeks before getting a public rollout.
Whatsapp is funky enough without more complications; sorry I guess age is catching up with me. 👁️👁️👀👁️👁️😎😞 LATER!!!
All I care about is scheduling messages and sending messages silently (w/o notifications).
