It’s that time of the year again when smartphone manufacturers are introducing their latest and greatest products ahead of the holiday season. Huawei is next in line and it will show out the brand new Mate 30 series at an event held in Munich. The keynote starts at 12:00 UTC.
The headlining features of the new phones will be their quad-camera setups, Kirin 990 chipset and 5G support. If rumors are true, these devices will be the first Huawei handsets to ship without Google services due to the US trade ban and they might get limited international availability.
The Mate 30 Pro is expected to come with a 6.6-inch waterfall screen of 90Hz refresh rate. The phone will also offer a refined 3D face-unlock system housed in the notch. The battery capacity is rumored to go up to 4,500 mAh and support 40W wired and 27W wireless charging. Huawei will also introduce a luxurious Porche Design Mate 30 Pro version.
The vanilla Mate 30 will come with a flat display and narrower notch. Under the hood, the phone will run on the same Kirin 990 as the Pro variant. The battery is expected to come in at 4,200 mAh. Huawei might also announce a Mate 30 Lite which is expected to be the global version of the nova 5i Pro.
