The latest Y-series phone from vivo is now official with the announcement of the vivo Y100 in India. The phone brings a 6.38-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The panel supports up to 1,300 nits peak brightness and covers the DCI-P3 color gamut.
The backs of the Pacific Blue and Twilight Gold vivo Y100 variants bring a color-changing Fluorite AG glass which allows it to shift color when hit by UV light. The back also houses a 64 MP main camera with OIS as well as a 2MP macro cam and a 2MP depth module.
MediaTek’s Dimensity 900 system on a chip sits at the helm aided by 8GB RAM and 128GB storage which is also expandable via microSD slot. The phone boots Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 and brings a 4,500 mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge. Other features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, an IP54 rating and a Hybrid Dual SIM slot.
vivo Y100 is available in Pacific Blue, Twilight Gold and Metal Black colors. The 8/128GB trim comes with an introductory price of INR 24,999 and can be ordered from vivo’s official website as well as partnering online retailers.
