vivo's X23 is due to become official on September 6, which means these days there are a lot of leaks about it going around. Yesterday the Chinese company itself posted official images of the phone on its website (though they weren't meant to be publicly accessible).
Today someone in possession of an X23 unit decided to create an impromptu photo session, showing the upcoming handset in all its glory, somewhere in the wild.
The next two pictures compare the X23 to the Oppo R17, and while they definitely do look similar, there are a few differences - namely, the positioning of their respective dual rear camera islands, as well as the shapes of their screen notches.
The vivo X23 is expected to launch in Phantom Purple, Magic Night, and Phantom Red. The unit shown here is the Magic Night version, with a gradient glass look on the back.
According to past rumors and leaks, the Snapdragon 670 is powering the vivo X23, with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. An under-display fingerprint reader is in, while the 6.4" screen's resolution is 1080x2340. The screen-to-body ratio enabled by that tiny notch is 91.2%.
