The phone has a 6.67-inch 1080x2400 120 Hz AMOLED touchscreen with 1,800-nit peak brightness (1,200 nits in High Brightness mode) and an embedded optical fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 44W fast wired charging, although there's no charger in the box.

The V40 SE 5G runs Android 14 with vivo's Funtouch OS 14 on top. It's going to be offered in two colorways: Crystal Black and Leather Purple, the latter with a fake leather finish, as the name implies. The phone measures 163.17 x 75.81 x 7.79 mm (for the Crystal Black version), while in Leather Purple the thickness is 7.99 mm. Weight differs too: 185.5g for Crystal Black, 191g for Leather Purple.

It's currently listed on both vivo's pan-European site as well as its local Austrian site, so we expect it to make it to other European countries shortly. Pricing information isn't available just yet.
