vivo Android Announcement

Unsurprisingly, vivo kept its word and made the V21e 5G official in India today, following a teaser earlier this week. This is not to be confused with the non-5G vivo V21e, which was announced in April and has been available since early May.

The vivo V21e 5G comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset at the helm, the same 6.44-inch 1080x2400 60 Hz AMOLED screen as the V21e, a lower-res 32 MP selfie camera, and one less camera on the back - the 5G model has the main 64 MP sensor and the 8 MP ultrawide, but says goodbye to the useless 2 MP macro cam. The V21e 5G has the same 4,000 mAh battery capacity as its 4G sibling, but can charge faster at up to 44W.

The V21e 5G is available in Sunset Jazz and Dark Pearl color options, and runs Android 11 with Funtouch OS 11.1 on top. The fingerprint sensor is embedded in the display. The phone is priced at INR 24,990 in the one version it's offered, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. You'll be able to find it at Flipkart, Amazon, as well as vivo's own e-store.

This is getting out of hand. First v21, then v21e, now there's v21e 5g? Soon there will be a v21 model for whatever specifications you want.
