The vivo T2 is back from the dead, at least some version of it. A phone with a model number V2240 has surfaced in the Geekbench 5 database and there is reason to believe that this is the T2 that will launch in India on April 11 (Tuesday).
Again, this vivo T2 is different from the one that was slated to launch in China before being hit with several delays. This one will be lower powered using a chipset code named “Holi” – Qualcomm seems to be using this for both the Snapdragon 695 and Snapdragon 480.
Geekbench 5 scorecard: vivo T2 with a Snapdragon 695 chipset
Neither chip is particularly powerful, but the 695 uses newer A78 cores instead of A76. Judging by the single-core score, this is the Snapdragon 695 – phones with this chip usually get 600-700 points on Geekbench 5, the older big CPU in the 480 is usually in the 500-600 range. Again, neither chip is a speed demon. Anyway, this particular unit was equipped with 6GB of RAM, though there may be other configurations.
So far Flipkart has revealed that both the vivo T2 and the T2x will have FHD+ AMOLED displays with 1,300 nits peak brightness and 360Hz touch sampling rate and a high refresh rate (presumably 120Hz but an exact number isn’t listed). More details will be unveiled on April 7, 9 and 11 building up to the full reveal.
6Gen1 was produced by Samsung with poor yields. neither 7 Gen 1 nor 6 Gen 1 won't be available.
