A charger with the potential to provide 200W output to mobile devices was certified in China, and vivo is now starting to manufacture it. According to Digital Chat Station, the standard will be implemented in the iQOO 10 Pro smartphone that could arrive by the end of this year.

The V2001L0B0-CN adapter provides 20V at 10A charge and also will be able to provide wireless chargers with 20V at 3.25A rates, which translates to 65W. The current iQOO 9 Pro flagship does 120W fast charging over the wire and 50W wirelessly.

A charger that is capable to reach 200W is not new in the industry. Realme also developed a charging architecture that enables speeds between 100W and 200W. For the sake of consumer safety, it was limited to 150W in the Realme GT Neo3 smartphone, which is still the world’s fastest charging speed to this day.

We expect this record to be topped soon because companies are always in the chase for a new “World’s First” title to put on their websites for marketing purposes.

Since they cannot offer long term software support, these companies turn to crazy charging speeds to counter that. Using it as part of their marketing strategy. What a lame excuse.

There's a reason why Samsung is king of android. Offering the longest software support than any other android phone manufacturer.
