For a while now we've been hearing rumors about vivo resurrecting its NEX family of bleeding edge high-end devices, and naturally we assumed the next in line would be called NEX 5 (since BBK companies have an aversion for the number 4, and the last NEXes were the NEX 3 and NEX 3S). According to some new speculation out of China, however, it seems like the device in question won't be called NEX 5, instead going by vivo X Note.
Whether that means it will have a built-in stylus, or at least stylus support, remains to be seen. The alleged model number for this device is V2170A, which has recently been certified for sale by Chinese authorities. Intriguingly enough, the vivo X Note name may be used only in China, as rumor has it that a variation of this device will be launching as the vivo NEX 10 Pro.
The vivo X Note has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC at the helm, a 7-inch QHD+ 120 Hz AMOLED screen made by Samsung, a quad rear camera setup (50 MP Samsung GN1 main + 48 MP Sony IMX598 + 12 MP Sony IMX663 + 8 MP Omnivision OV08A10 5x telephoto), a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging, and a weight of 221g. Its dimensions are 168 x 76.5 x 9.2 mm.
Potentially interesting...but 3 issues, first is of course whether or not it's really a Note(yes, stylus support), second is whether it still retains the jack that complements the discrete DAC that's remained part of the package of the whol...
Oh!! Please do not tell me that 7" display phone will blow my mind and forget Samsung.
