Last month vivo sub-brand iQOO said that it will launch its 5G smartphone in Q3 2019, meaning anytime between July and September. And now, the company has announced that its 5G smartphone - dubbed iQOO Pro - will arrive in August.

vivo hasn't divulged much about this 5G smartphone but has shared a poster on Chinese social network Weibo showing the back of the phone. The image is quite dark but reveals a design similar to the original iQOO launched back in March.

Increasing the exposure of the poster also confirms the triple rear camera on the iQOO Pro.

The 5G-enabled iQOO Pro is expected to come with the Snapdragon 855+ SoC and 120W fast charging support while retaining rest of the specifications of the vivo iQOO.

That said, it's currently unclear if the iQOO Pro is the only 5G smartphone that will be launched by the company next month, because we saw the iQOO Plus 5G last weekend with Snapdragon 855+, 8GB RAM, and 128GB storage. It's rumored to cost CNY4,498 ($655/€585) and ship with a 4,500 mAh battery with 44W fast charging.

More details about these 5G smartphones should follow soon.

A 120W is such a treat,as it will, I'm sure, be able to fully charge a 4500mAh battery from 0% to 100% in around 20 minutes. However, they have to give extra care and attention so as to make sure that the battery doesn't heat up too much and even exp...
