An upcoming entry-level phone from vivo was just teased through by the company on Weibo. The first image of the vivo U3 shows us that the phone will pack the Snapdragon 675 chipset and also gives us a look at the back. There is a triple camera setup and a fingerprint reader on the back. Apart from the logo placement, the U3 looks identical to vivo U3x which is a rebranded version of he vivo U10.
A while back a Snapdragon 675 powered vivo phone appeared on TENAA with the V1934A/T model number. That listing showed the phone will come with a 6.53-inch FHD+ screen with a 16MP selfie cam housed in the waterdrop notch. Other key specs include 4/6GB RAM and 128GB of storage with microSD expansion.
Around the back, there's a 16MP main shooter alongside an 8MP ultrawide module and 2MP depth sensor. The battery comes in at 5,000 mAh.
We’ll likely get more teasers to confirm the full spec sheet in the coming days. The vivo U3 is expected to go on pre-sale starting October 21. According to rumors, it will be priced in the CNY 1,000 ($140) range.
The good thing is that it looks like every other Samsung, Huawei, LG, Oppo, etc. phone out there!
5000 & 163mm tall so what's the point of increasing battery while making the screen size also taller
