T-Mobile iOS Apple Deals

In a newsroom post on Friday, T-Mobile announces a lucrative deal that will last this weekend only. In honor of Mother’s Day, existing or new T-Mobile subscribers can get up to $830 off an iPhone 12 mini or iPhone 12 with an eligible trade in. The best part of this deal is that eligible transactions won’t require you to add another line.

T-Mobile offers Mom a free iPhone 12 with eligible trade-in this weekend only

To qualify for a free iPhone 12 on T-Mobile, you need to have a “qualifying line of service on an eligible plan” which might not include some older legacy plans. You need to purchase a new iPhone 12, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, or 12 mini on a monthly plan and pay sales tax. Then you need to trade-in an eligible device to earn the full promotional amount.

Eligible phones include all iPhones after the iPhone 8, any Pixel 4 device, LG V50 or V60, OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, 7T, 7T Pro 5G Mclaren, 8 5G, 8 Pro, Moto RAZR, or Asus ROG Phone II. Partial credit will be offered for many other smartphones, check the promotion details on T-Mobile’s website for the full list.

The “free” part comes in the form of 24 monthly statement credits. Once the trade-in is processed, T-Mobile will write off every installment payment for 24 months. This makes it so you’re required to pay for the remainder of the phone if you decide to leave the service.

It’s not often that T-Mobile offers iPhones in promotions like this one and this one will only last through the weekend. As a reminder, T-Mobile is still offering its Galaxy S21 On Us promotion with an eligible trade-in.

I am not from US. What does adding a new line mean? And also, if it's free, why does one have to pay a monthly credit, how much per month and how many months? 24 months?
