Google may drop the first developer preview of Android Q anytime now, but there are companies like HTC that are still trying hard to roll out Android Pie. The Taiwanese maker has now announced that it will release the latest OS for three of its smartphones before June 2019.
We wanted to share the status on the Android 9 update. HTC is currently working on ensuring the update is compatible with our phones & we anticipate a release for U11, U11+ & U12+ customers starting Q2’19. Exact timing defers to operators’ availabilities in different countries.

Once the trio receives Android Pie, it will join the HTC U11 Life (Android One) that received the platform update back in November 2018. It is currently the only HTC smartphone with the latest OS and we sure hope HTC will deliver the promise by the end of the second quarter of the year.
