The vivo X23 announcement draws near (it will be on September 6) and each day we get more and more details, often from an official source. The latest is for the dual camera.
The secondary cam will have a wide-angle lens, meaning that unlike the similar Oppo F9, the X23 will actually have a useful dual camera setup. A 13MP sensor will sit behind that lens.
The vivo X23's dual camera will have a wide-angle lens
The primary cam will use a 12MP Sony IMX363 according to a leaked slide, a module we’ve seen in premium phones like the Xiaomi Mi 8 and vivo NEX S. So, the dual camera module will be completely different from the sibling Oppo phone. Speaking of similar phones, the vivo V11 Pro will be unveiled a day earlier (September 5).
Anyway, the vivo X23 will have a Snapdragon 670 chipset and the official vivo store already revealed the four color options. As a quick refresher on the other specs, we’re expecting a 6.41” Super AMOLED (1080p+) with a teardrop notch, 8GB/128GB memory, 3,400mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging, 32-bit DACs and Oreo-based Funtouch OS.
Check out the invites that vivo has been sending out. That’s a screen in the middle and it plays promo videos.
It's no secret that at the end of the day LG has made the best usage of a dual camera setup, the wide angle lens is quite useful in many situations.
