I've seen old devices using Android 5.0 that can access almost any app and are usually limited by the old hardware, not software.

There is OIS in telephoto module. I can perfectly see how lens moving when shake also very stable when walking

Instead my Samsung Galaxy A52s back cover came loose recently with zero drops due to pathetic quality glue used by Samsung. Later I learned it is a widespread issue on Samsung.

However, everywhere I've asked about this phone here, people respond negatively, primarily to the brand. They say that the brand is not trustworthy and after-sales service is terrible. I'm not too worried about OS updates, I mainly want security updates. I'm on the fence due to the negative reactions people have towards Tecno.

If it is under INR 30K just go for it. After going through the review here, its a no brainer. This phone has a metal midframe instead of plastic, so will exude premium feel and the camera hardware is flagship grade with Sony sensors. It got a great display too.
I own its predecessor Tecno Camon 20 Pro, which snap very good photos from its cameras and have commendable performance. This 30 Premium feels like a quantum leap as this phone gets metal build and external aesthetics have also been improved a lot.

As previously said their phones are very well built and are as good as it gets for its price bracket. For example, the Phantom X series exterior craftmanship and product quality can easily compete with other top brands flagships like that of Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, Oneplus. Even ther hardware Tecno provides is without any competition for its price bracket. Tecno is owned by Transission Holdings who also owns Infinix and Itel brands. They are a big company.
Transission's software overlay over Android which is market as HiOS of Tecno and XOS for Infinix is snappy and very fast. It is highly customizable, very well optimized having tons of options/ features and comes with less bloatware in comparison of Xiaomi. It just that the HiOS/ XOS does not feel as refined to use as say Oppo's ColosOS/OxgenOS or that of Samsung's. Saying all that its perfectly fine to use in daily life.
The only hitch is you will get max 3 years of software support. You don't when the major Android updates will come which for this phone in Android 15 & 16. Tecno has to cut corners somewhere to provide this phone at a much lower price than its competitors products. I think you should give it a try and in having something different. Gun for Tecno Canmon 30 Premier as it seems the camera's are something special with this phone.

From my experience built quality wise and hardware wise they are next to none. Just don't expect much in terms of timely software updates. For example their flagship X2 Pro still to receive Android 14 in India.

Is this phone worth buying now? It's on a great discount right now (40% off) and the hardware seems godly, but I keep hearing that the brand ain't well-known here in India and isn't trustworthy. Another issue is the lack of software updates, security patches will only be there till May 2027. Please help

best tecno camon premier 5g no overheating battery power can play one day straight and the camera is very flagship for me overall is very good my concern is the telephoto good but no option for moon zoom
