Japanese variant XZ3 have definitely some problems, now my XZ3 suddenly stopped showing battery percentage on status bar. Seems like admin restricted.

you might be thinking about this phone why it has no audio jack. its because of dynamic vibration system, they just haven't found a way to cram 3.5mm jack between the dynamic vibration motors.
atleast sony still give you a dongle and earphones which other manufacturers stopped giving those, some vivo V or X series might still supply one.

I recently replaced it after 4 good years. A few scratches here and there, some screen burn-in, and an excellent overall experience.

Coming back to this phone in 2023, I only noticed the AOSP Open Device program for several Sony phones*. It turns out that Sony rolls out Android 12.0 binaries for this phone. If you think about it, Sony can officially roll out a third OS update to this phone. I don't mind this AOSP program thing since I used to flash custom ROMs, but most average consumers don't do that kind of thing.
