Considering that XZ1 compact will have 2600 mAh battery, I don't have a good feeling about the XZ1, I'm guessing 2900 mAh, if this is true then no buy for me.

Hopefully, they fix the software issues with the camera. I don't feel good about buying one until they fix the over-processing of the photos.

LookingToUpgrade, 13 Aug 2017Any news on whether or not this phone will have a bezel-less design?It looks like a promising device, with its render images showing it has unique bezel design, but the device is lot thicker meaning more battery life than its predecessor could be the flagship that we've all been waiting for since the release of Xperia Z2.

Well, I don't see anything wrong in your battery life, it has lasted 3.5 years... Which is pretty good. I have a xz and I I give a pretty smile to my power hungry friends with 6s, 7+, and I give a smile to people with battery heating and draining with an year or two old s6, s7 and few notes.
Note- I had a z3 and I had no complains with its battery life too. I just broke it's screen.

I have a Z2, and it's getting a bit long in the tooth now (almost 3.5 years). It's been a great phone, and has survived several drops like a champ, and I think Sony's continued support with Android updates has been great too. The only things I don't like it that the internal memory is too small (always full, despite transferring all pics and deleting as many apps as possible), and the battery was good (compared to most others), but not amazing, and still often left me with power anxiety at the end of the day. This XZ1 will solve the memory issue, but unless it has a much larger capacity battery (>3500 mAh) then I won't be buying it. I'm personally hoping the Galaxy S8 Active will come to the UK... while I prefer Sony as a brand and have been really happy with the Z2, unless the battery is much longer lasting, I don't see what Sony are bringing in improvement over the 3.5 year old Z2, other than expected speed and memory improvements. At least the Galaxy S8 Active has a large battery and should be super-robust against dropping etc...

This needs at least 3300 Mah battery life, and 23MP is unusual as we know this will have slow motion camera, make this phone out of gorilla glass front and back with metal sides, with pre-applied screen protector at launch.

BeeAnt, 09 Aug 2017Who needs 4000 mAh if a mere 2600 mAh does pretty good?Why? Why don't make 4000 mAh that does pretty good too? If a good 2600 mAh is enough, then the same tech applied 4000mAh will be better (minus heavier that you wont really feel)

The XZ Premium suffers from no overheating issues whatsoever. Tests show you can record 4K for hours and hours until it runs out of storage but it never overheats.

Sony has evolved to producing phones with the worst camera's ever. They must really know their stuff. Well done Sony. Who has f2 aperture? You must be the only one. I have a XZ premium dual, and the photos are horrendous. The worst photos of almost any other phone that I owned. Well done. The phone heats up and throttles almost always. I check my apps, and none are working. But the phone keeps heating up. That is why I should have never left from Samsung. The difference in techonlogy is VAST.
