Sony is hosting an event today to unveil a new Xperia smartphone. The Japanese brand hasn't explicitly revealed the name of the new smartphone, but it's likely the Sony Xperia 5 IV. The launch event will be streamed live beginning at 7AM UTC, and you can follow it with us by tuning to the stream below.
The Sony Xperia 5 IV is rumored to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and sport a triple camera setup on the rear comprising three 12MP units (primary, telephoto, ultrawide). The main camera is said to use the IMX557 sensor.
The Xperia 5 IV is expected to feature a 6.1" screen protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and pack a battery bigger than the Xperia 5 III's 4,500 mAh cell.

My mom had 3 Xperia phones, and she uses them to read or whatsapp. Sometimes give it to her grandkids to watch youtube but that's about it. All three were oh so horrible and died rather quickly. Yet my Samsung Note 4, Xiaomi Note 4 are still...

I know the 1+10 Pro's front cam can record only 1080p at 30fps, not sure about the 12S ultra. Do you think it is a standard in comparison to other flagships?
