Using mobile phones since Nov. 2001
By 2008 I've used different brands like Siemens, Motorola, Sony, Ericsson, Nokia, Sharp, Samsung & Sony-Ericsson
2008 - 2012 Blackberry era (8310, 9700, 9800, 9300 & 9900)
2012 - 2024 Samsung era (S3, S4, S5, S7, S9 & S105G)
I've had the S105G for 4 years (2020 - 2024)
The last flagship with jack & the first with 5G
Now I've got my Xperia 1-VI that has the jack and the SD card slot
Thank you Sony, will keep this for 4 years and if the Xperia 1-X will feature jack in 2028, I will upgrade to that model.

Disappointed
I personally liked the 21:9 ratio but what mattered to me most was screen size and the bezel(which i like)
6'5 with no Xperia 5 model?
Iam still using the 2019 Xperia 5 and if they don't reintrouduce 5 in the near future

An electronics shop recently closed and all their items were on clearence, this phone was sold for 960€ including tax (sadly didn't manage to get one) so the price could drop to about 1000€ during christmas

When I write about PRO I mean professional cameras and lenses. Equipment that cost sometimes 5-6 times more than Xperia, S24U and iPhone 16. Please go to specialist, Im sure there is hope for you :)

I'll ask a friend for samples from an iPhone, add some from Xperia and Alpha 7S, and you'll be turned off like crap. Why do you need this?
Don't tell me I'm blind, you are blind kid and you speak about features that you dont know how to use and why they are inside phone. Xperia is for people that use brain.

I used Sony Xperia Z2 from 2016 to 2020, what a phone it was!
Display, sound quality, processing power, software optimisation, battery timing everything was top notch. Only downsides were a bit heating and okayish front camera. But in rear camera it used to beat iPhone 5s and other rivals in front of me.
Now look at them, they are good for gaming (although still some heating issues), software optimisation is good and display as well but camera is just disappointing in auto point and shoot mode vs iPhone or Samsung or even OnePlus. Sony has ruined auto mode photography. I know it does well in manual mode but things like this have put their name from a flagship to a midrange level in camera department. Rest of the phone and specs are good though, no complains.

I could say that Xperia 1 vi is something different.In general is quite good flagman.About the camera...here is where the difference comes.The phone is oriented to shutters not to ordinary users that take the device out of the pocket take a picture and AI do everything else.The device is expose the naturale photography and reque some sense of photographer.Phone has bunch of camera features that are charactered for a real photography.
However....it's a just something different and might not suit to every taste.

I have been daily driving my Xperia XZ Premium since its release in 2017. Only now upgrading to this as it looks like Sony are finally heading back in the right direction. I was put off the Xperia 1 and every subsequent release until now, that they have gone back to a more useful screen aspect ratio. All the rest of the best in class specs are just bonuses.
