I am from Saudi Arabia and I love sony Xperia phones I have nearly all the models because I love getting one when they change or add a new nice feature. My only problem with my SX IV is that it has a very weak signal reception. And I hope they can fix that. Also, I am. Loyal fan of SX because of the SD card option which I can't find in other smart phones

They should understand that it's a phone first then camera not the otherway around.

Really hope they... moreWell, you should send emails to Sony Alpha executives about the idea you proposed, because they are the ones who brought these professional camera-based naming schemes to the Xperia since OG Xperia 1. We'll see what the naming scheme the successor of 1 V will bring, but don't expect too much for any changes as it's been 5 generations—more generations than both XZ and Z series have ever been so far.

The equivalent competitor from iQOO for the Xperia 1 V is the iQOO 11 series (I'm abstaining from comparing their target market because that's going to create even more contrast).

And what does Gen 3 in IQOO 12 do better than 1V? I'll answer this one, it does nothing better than 1V. I suggest you take a look at the 1V display in person and see the video it can record in Video Pro app

Considering sony flagships typically go for 5 generations there's a good chance the next one might not be called the 1 vi. Either way sony should just adopt a more straight forward naming scheme the 1 mark xxx seems weird. More importantly improve the software. it's the single biggest weakness of Xperia

Can sony do 4 years of os update?If you think that updates from Xiaomi or Samsung etc protect you 100% against attacks/hacks, you are an optimist. 99% of vulnerabilities and attacks require user intervention or direct access to the hardware. Xperia has 3 years security updates. My 5 years old XZ3 has no updates for 4 years and it works super fast and Im live extra fine with that :)
